[Review] Leap Motion
The technological advances never cease. Computers and gaming consoles get faster and more powerful. Virtual reality is becoming an actuality. Even motion-sensors are getting smaller. The flash drive-sized Leap Motion controller is a prime example of this.
[Review] There Came an Echo
As technology improves, so do video games. Sure, graphics constantly improve, but we rarely stop and think about how we actually play the games. In fact, most of the time it's all the same: You move with this stick, jump with this button, attack with that other button, etc. Iridium Studios' new game, There Came an Echo aims to change that.
[Review] Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty!
Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty! is a re-creation and remake of 1997’s Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, and was released digitally in North America on 2014.07.22 for the PlayStation 4 for $29.99 USD. [Review] GAM3R GLOV3S
Being an avid gamer, my hand tends to get sweaty. This can cause problems when playing fighting games. So, about two years ago, I bought a pair of fingerless exercise gloves, which helped to prevent the sweat from running down onto my fingers. Over time, however, more and more sweat was traveling down. The last straw was the fact that to compensate my thumb slipping off the analog stick, I was digging my nail into the rubber covering, ultimately destroying it. As a result, I started looking around for other solutions and eventually discovered GAM3R GLOV3S.
[Review] New Trent Airbender Mini
Typing for extended periods of time on an iPad isn't efficient without a physical keyboard. Luckily, I discovered and purchased the New Trent Airbender Mini. The Airbender Mini is a silicone-covered hard shell keyboard case that fits the iPad mini as well as the iPad mini with Retina display. It doubles as a carrying case for your iPad, and has a built-in Bluetooth keyboard.
[Review] Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match
Fighting games are something very near and dear to my heart. it’s one genre I really enjoy, because it challenges me to improve my reflexes. It is also one genre I’m not jaded with, meaning I won’t tell myself that a crappy game *coughvanillaStreetFighterXTekkencough* is good, or vice versa. Atlus USA has just released a new fighting game entitled Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match, but how is it?
[Review] Zaid Tabani - "Limbo"
Zaid Tabani who, until recently, went by the handle RedrappeR is well-known in the FGC thanks to his fighting game focused tracks. These include Quarterhouse Kings, World Warrior, Evolve, Prime, and the various intros he's done for the Evolution Championship Series (EVO). Zaid has returned once again with the Limbo EP.
[Review] Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl
I played the original Etrian Odyssey when it came out for the Nintendo DS in 2007, some of Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard in 2008 as well as 2013’s Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, so I have some history with the series of quest-based first-person dungeon-crawlers. The previous entries were not my cup of tea, but Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is pretty unique. This entry features a full Story mode, in addition to its standard/”Classic” mode -- a first for the series. It is also a reimagining and a remake of the first game.
[Review] Movie Edit Pro 2014 Premium
I’ve been doing video editing for roughly 12 years, and I’ve used such software as iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, even the problematic Adobe Premiere. They’re all good software, but as my skills increased, so did my need for something more capable. Luckily MAGIX has a line of video editing software named Movie Edit Pro. Movie Edit Pro 2014 Premium has a number of features, including precise video editing on up to 99 tracks, full 4K and HD support for AVCHD/HDV camcorders and action cameras and full Stereo3D support, 4K and HD editing, secondary color correction, multicam editing (for two cameras), and over 1500 unique effects and templates.
[Review] Grand Theft Auto V (360)
Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto has always been a controversial franchise. It’s also one of the best selling games, too. Five years after its last numeric entry, Rockstar is back at it again with Grand Theft Auto V, one of the most anticipated titles of the year.
