[Review] GAM3R GLOV3S
Being an avid gamer, my hand tends to get sweaty. This can cause problems when playing fighting games. So, about two years ago, I bought a pair of fingerless exercise gloves, which helped to prevent the sweat from running down onto my fingers. Over time, however, more and more sweat was traveling down. The last straw was the fact that to compensate my thumb slipping off the analog stick, I was digging my nail into the rubber covering, ultimately destroying it. As a result, I started looking around for other solutions and eventually discovered GAM3R GLOV3S.
From the official website: “[GAM3R GLOV3S] are a snug, form fitting and breathable glove that allows you to maintain the ultimate control over your gaming by offering strong grips. The material of the glove was designed so you can play in cool and warm temperatures. The glove is designed so any sweat built up will remain off of the controller, which normally causes the controller to slip and slide in your hands. […] The thumb grip allows all gamers to make very precise movements of the analog stick to ensure that you play to the best of your ability. Overall, the gloves will offer you comfort, intense control, and can be used for different styles of gaming.” “The fabric properties and structure are the key assets to the glove. To go above and beyond, we constantly strive to provide the most comfortable, high quality materials such as: Polyester, Elastane, and Lycra (very commonly used in active and sports wears). Our design allows the glove to channel away moisture (moisture wicking), while staying breathable and cool (temperature control) […]”
I’ve been utilizing my GAM3R GLOV3S for about a month, and I love them! I had admittedly never wore form-fitting gloves until GAM3R GLOV3S. They’re so form-fitting and snug that sometimes, I even forget I’m wearing them. I don’t wear my GAM3R GLOV3S only for gaming, either. I also wear them to drive my wheelchair. On average, I wear mine for 4 to 6 hours a day and my hand has yet to be sweaty when I take the glove off. That’s saying something, especially with summer rolling on through. The thumb grip is also a lifesaver, as I’m no longer digging into the rubber covering, nor is my thumb sliding off the stick. I received my GAM3R GLOV3S just in time for Ultra Street Fighter IV, and the thumb grip has enabled me to practice Decapre without fear of my thumb sliding while charging.
Overall, GAM3R GLOV3S are very sturdy. Those who know me will tell you that I’m very hard on things. I’ve gotten to the point where I can put the glove on, one-handed, in anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes, depending on the day. Of course, this involves a lot my hand stretching the glove out while in it, and lots of using sides of things to pull it down all the way. I’m happy to report that even with all the abuse I put them through, the GAM3R GLOV3S have not yet torn. Plus, they’re 100% washable!
However, that is not to say that GAM3R GLOV3S are perfect, because they’re not. There are certain situations wherein I have trouble while wearing them. A couple have to do with using mobile devices. One of the problems I have is trying to type on a keyboard, but that might just be because I’m not used to typing with the GAM3R GLOV3S on yet. The aforementioned problems are using my smartphone and iPad, as the fingertips aren’t registered accurately. However, I have found the very tip of your finger (where your nail is) does register. That being said, no matter what I do, I’m unable to use my iPad with my fingers, although it may just be because of my screen protector as even my stylus isn’t registered unless I press down on it. Regardless, I hope they somehow fix these issues with the next iteration of GAM3R GLOV3S.
Would I recommend GAM3R GLOV3S? Without a shadow of a doubt. As a gamer, they deliver on their claims, but I’ve managed to find use for them in my everyday life beyond gaming as well. For a product as versatile of these, the price is good — you can purchase a pair for $19.99 USD from their official site.

Gamer Gloves, LLC is an Internet retail business that launched in June of 2012, which currently sells top quality gloves designed to enhance the experience and consistency of a persons lifestyle. CEO Blake Friesen gracefully sent me a couple pair of GAM3R GLOV3S, and I sincerely thank him for doing so.
